Python + AWS Developer

Job Description

Developing/Supporting complex efforts involving Analysis, Design, Development, and testing of various application components with-in Asset Management domain.

Hands on developer capable of debugging the system and fixing the production related issues. Strong ability to analyze functional needs that drive the analysis and technical design of quality technical solutions.

Implements solutions that are aligned with business/IT strategies and complies with Nuveen's Architectural standards.

Ability to provide strong technical leadership to the team of India developers. Responsible for mentoring and their career development.

Responsible for ensuring highest standards and quality of the technical deliverables.

Designs the development and implementation of the overall architecture, and helps define "blueprint" for technical architecture to support mission needs.

Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies; Provides mentoring and training to team of engineers.

Handles complex operational tasks and recommends processing and technology changes. Investigate, analyze and document reported defects

Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates that meet SDLC standards

Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional/non-functional business requirements

Delivers solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, and applications across the enterprise.

Qualification/Skillsets (Python, AWS - EKS, S3, Lambda, Glue, EMR, RDS Data Stores, CloudFront, API Gateway)

6+ years of experience in software development and technical leadership, preferably having a strong financial knowledge in building complex trading applications.

Expertise in AWS services such as Amazon Elastic Compute (EC2), Glue, Amazon S3, EKS, Lambda etc.

Experience in developing applications using Python, Glue(ETL), Lambda, step functions etc. services in AWS.

Understanding of Terraform scripts and CI/CD process.

Desirable to have worked on following tools: Eventbridge ARRFlow Airflow MWAA) Quicksight- Able to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
