Job Role

We are looking for a Python Developer with a good understanding of DevOps Practices to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining critical infrastructure automation tools. You will leverage your advanced Python expertise to develop applications that streamline database lifecycle management.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement Python applications for the orchestration of PostgreSQL database provisioning, maintenance, and decommissioning.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Python code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the developed applications.
• Designed and developed CI/CD mechanisms which automate the delivery of code, applications or artifacts.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 4+ Years of experience in the required field.
• Proven experience as a Python Developer with advanced-level proficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to develop standalone Python applications.
• Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
• Experience or at least exposure to PostgreSQL.
• Good experience with at least one CI/CD tool, for example Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, Tekton.
• Familiarity with containerisation technologies.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with containerization technologies such as OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with AWS services, particularly AWS DMS.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Exposure to monitoring tools and practices.
• Basic understanding of PostgreSQL.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Optimising application performance
