QA Engineer – AI/ML Projects
Job Description
MRI Software looking for an experienced and skilled candidate to join our team as a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible to assess software quality by designing and implementing software testing processes. You will take ownership of code quality through exploratory and manual test scripts. You will hunt bugs, identify issues, report them, and see that they are dealt with.
Roles & Responsibilities
Design AI-Specific Test Plans – Create test strategies focused on model behavior, data integrity, and edge cases. Validate Model Outputs – Test predictions against expected results using golden datasets and real-world scenarios. Test Data Pipelines – Ensure correctness of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and pipeline transformations. Automate Testing – Build and maintain automated tests for APIs, data flows etc Monitor Model Quality – Track AI metrics like accuracy, precision, recall, and identify model drift or performance degradation. Perform Exploratory & Adversarial Testing, Integrate with CI/CD Pipelines Collaborate Across Teams – Work closely with ML engineers, data scientists, and product owners to align QA efforts with goals. Continuously Learn & Adapt – Stay updated on AI/ML trends and evolve testing approaches to match experimental technologies.

Preferred Skills & Traits
- 4-6 years of software testing knowledge.
- Experience with API testing is a must and knowledge of SQL is needed.
- Familiarity with ML/AI fundamentals (classification, regression, NLP, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and curiosity mindset—loves breaking things to find weaknesses.
- Comfortable reading Python code and interpreting ML pipeline stages is desirable.
- Experience with RESTful API testing, automation frameworks, and basic SQL.
- Experience with agile development practices preferred (Ability to learn quickly and adapt test approaches in ambiguous, experimental environments).
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or a related area
