QA Engineer - Manual Tester

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual Tester with experience in 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) platform to support an upgrade and validation initiative. The tester will perform test case analysis, execution, and defect management to ensure the upgraded 3DEXPERIENCE environment functions seamlessly and aligns with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Analysis

• Review and analyze business and functional requirements to identify testable conditions.
• Conduct test case analysis to determine the impact of the upgrade on existing functionalities.
• Identify test scenarios impacted by version differences, customizations, or integrations.
• Update and optimize existing test cases to ensure relevance to the upgraded 3DEXPERIENCE version.
• Define test coverage and traceability between requirements and test cases.
  
  

Test Case Design & Execution

• Develop detailed manual test cases and scripts based on updated requirements and system changes.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and system testing for upgraded environments.
• Validate configurations, workflows, and business rules in modules such as ENOVIA, CATIA, and DELMIA.
• Perform data and metadata validation post-upgrade to ensure integrity and consistency.
• Conduct smoke and sanity testing after environment deployment.
  
  

Defect Management & Reporting

• Log, track, and retest defects using tools like Jira, HP ALM, or Zephyr.
• Work closely with PLM developers, administrators, and business teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects.
• Provide defect analysis reports and participate in defect triage meetings.
• Document and communicate test results and sign-off reports for each testing phase.
  
  

Upgrade Validation

• Compare pre-upgrade and post-upgrade functionality to ensure expected behavior.
• Participate in test case walkthroughs and peer reviews.
  
  

• 6-9 years of experience in manual software testing, preferably in PLM environments.
• Strong understanding of 3DEXPERIENCE / ENOVIA V6 platform testing, including core business processes (Change Management, Configuration Management, BOM, Part Management).
• Experience performing test case analysis and optimization during platform upgrades.
• Familiarity with CAD integrations (CATIA, SOLIDWORKS) and other connected systems.
• Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., Jira, HP ALM, Zephyr, Xray).
• Experience validating data migration and functional consistency after system upgrades.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
