QA Engineer - Python Automation

How You Will Make An Impact

• Design test coverage strategies in partnership with engineering, product owners, and product line leaders to align with business objectives
• Build and maintain automated test suites for web UI, backend APIs, and integrated system workflows
• Develop end‑to‑end UI automation using Cucumber and Webdriver.io and create robust backend API tests
• Implement system‑level validation using Bash, Shell, Python, and Ansible scripts
• Configure and manage lab and simulation environments to validate complex scenarios
• Analyse automation results, document issues in Jira, and recommend process or coverage improvements
• Research and introduce new tools, frameworks, and practices to elevate automation maturity.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in software testing and automation
• Proficiency in backend/API automation using Python and Postman
• Hands‑on experience with Bash, Shell, Python, and Ansible scripting
• Strong knowledge of frontend test frameworks such as Cucumber and Webdriver.io
• Experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, TeamCity, or GitLab
• Practical expertise working in Unix/Linux environments.
  
  

• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and GitLab
• Frontend development exposure with TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, or SVG
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and relational or graph databases
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Neo4j, or ClickHouse
• Exposure to technologies such as ElasticSearch, Kafka, Drools, or RESTful services
• Understanding of authentication protocols such as LDAP or OAuth2 and reverse proxy configurations
• Experience with build tools such as Maven or NPM or test management tools like TestRail
