QA Engineer

Overview

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer with approximately 1 year of professional experience. The ideal candidate will assist in the design and execution of test cases, identify bugs, and help ensure the overall quality of our software products. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and senior QA engineers to support our testing efforts and deliver high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write, maintain, and execute manual test cases based on functional requirements.
• Perform regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing across web/mobile applications.
• Log, track, and verify defects in bug tracking systems such as JIRA.
• Collaborate with developers and other QA team members to troubleshoot issues and validate fixes.
• Assist in creating test data and setting up test environments.
• Contribute to the improvement of QA processes and documentation.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and review meetings (Agile environment).
• Support in the creation of basic automated test scripts (optional, based on experience).

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Around 1 year of hands-on QA/testing experience.
• Familiarity with SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies.
• Experience with tools like JIRA, TestRail, Postman, or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of writing and executing test cases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred (Not Mandatory):

• Exposure to automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and basic database querying (SQL).
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,778.43 - ₹20,000.00 per month
