QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and define test objectives.
• Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Execute manual test cases for various scenarios, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
• Identify, document, and report defects using bug tracking systems, and work with development teams to resolve them.
• Perform root cause analysis for defects.
• Ensure software quality, functionality, security, and performance standards are met.
• Coordinate and estimate manual testing activities.

Work Experience

• Experience: Typically 2-3 years of experience in manual testing.
• Manual Testing: Strong knowledge of manual testing processes and procedures.
• Test Case Management: Experience creating and executing test cases and test scripts.
• Defect Management: Proficiency in using bug tracking systems to report, prioritize, and manage defects.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• SQL: Ability to write and execute SQL queries to retrieve data from databases.
• Testing Types: Experience with different types of testing such as functional, integration, regression, cross-browser
• SDLC/STLC: Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Knowledge of API testing (REST/SOAP).
• Experience with CI/CD tools like is advantage
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective team collaboration
