Summary Of The Role

As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for defining and executing test strategies, ensuring product quality across all phases of the software development lifecycle. This role involves designing and automating test cases, managing defects, and driving continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

In This Role You’ll / Your Main Responsibilities

• Test Strategy & Planning
• Participate in specification and architecture reviews, providing feedback on risks and gaps.
• Define test strategies and plans, ensuring traceability with specifications and customer requirements.
• Ensure compliance with CI/CD guidelines, Green IT principles, and industry QA standards (ISTQB).
• Test Design & Execution
• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases.
• Prepare test environments and data, and validate functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Provide sign-off (Go/No-Go) based on defined exit criteria.
• Test Automation
• Assess and implement automation for test scripts using established frameworks.
• Contribute to improving automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
• Defect Management
• Log and track defects, assign severity, and provide detailed investigation for resolution.
• Validate fixes and approve production defect loads.
• Reporting & Quality Metrics
• Report on test activities, KPIs, and milestones to stakeholders.
• Ensure visibility of testing progress and quality status.
• Support & Knowledge Sharing
• Mentor newcomers and support QA peers.
• Share best practices and contribute to QA community knowledge.
• Continuous Improvement
• Propose enhancements to QA processes and tools.
• Participate in initiatives to reduce environmental impact of QA activities.
  

• Experience Range: 6-9 years in QA engineering or software testing roles.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test strategy, and automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, JMeter, and CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Familiarity with Agile practices and BDD frameworks (Cucumber).
• Proficiency in SQL for database validation and experience with QA tooling stacks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Airline or travel domain knowledge is a plus.
