QA Engineer

The Orah platform is experiencing rapid expansion, particularly within North America. To sustain this growth, a creative, self-driven, and agile workforce is essential.

As a QA Engineer, you will serve as an integral member of our product team ensuring quality for our product releases.

🧰 Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance

• Executing product and technical testing methods
• Functional Testing
• Exploratory / Negative Testing
• Usability & UX Testing
• Accessibility Testing
• Ensure that all stories in development have clear testing criteria
• Carryout out quality assurance testing for any new product releases and updates
• Relaying testing issues to the development and product team to be resolved
• Maintain and groom internal testing backlog

Automation and Process Design

• Developing and maintaining end-to-end test
• Implementation of testing automation tools (e.g. Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Chromatic)
• Implementing and monitoring of QA observability logs to streamline bug resolution (e.g. session replay, sentry)
• Designing testing processes and templates to drive efficiency and consistency within all testing workflows
• Implementing and maintaining reports and dashboards that monitor bug resolution, testing completion, defect identification

Implementation of AI tooling

• Leveraging AI tooling to streamline testing processes (e.g. generating testing scripts)
• Leveraging AI tooling to perform functional testing across multiple user / platforms / workflows
• Leveraging AI tooling to discover issues and bugs proactively

Bug Management

• Reviewing, prioritizing, and diagnosing bug reports to ensure appropriate and timely closure of bugs and defects
• Liaising with engineering, product, and GTM teams to triage and diagnose bugs
• Oversee the bug board and strive to maintain customer SLA and OLA targets
• Troubleshoot and diagnose bugs from a database and code level
• Work with customers directly to troubleshoot / diagnose complex bugs
• Ensure bug diagnosis and resolution is effectively documented for reporting and post mortem purposes
• Initiating incident response procedures when required

Communication

• Leading a weekly bug review meeting with both Northern and Southern Success Teams (two meetings in total - one for each hemisphere)
• Ensure that customers and the team are informed of any updates to active bugs
• Responding to internal communications regarding bugs, defects, performance issues and liaising with the product and engineering teams to perform necessary fixes

✅ Success Criteria

• Experience with test automation (e.g. Playwright, Cypress, Selenium)
• Ability to read or write basic code (JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, etc.)
• Experience testing APIs and integrations
• Familiarity with feature flags, staged rollouts, or A/B testing
• Exposure to accessibility, performance, or security testing
• Experience working on complex, data-driven, or permission-based products

💼 Candidate Profile

Must-Haves:

• Software Engineering background / Education
• 3+ years of experience in QA or software testing within a SaaS or web-based product
• Experience working in cross-functional product teams
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery practices
• Ability to think critically about user workflows, edge cases, and failure modes
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g. Jira, Linear, TestRail)
• Clear and confident communicator who can collaborate across disciplines
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability for product quality

Location & Working Hours
India works well with timezone but needs to be willing to start early to align teams in other timezones

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience in B2B SaaS or EdTech
• Familiarity with tools like Playwright, Cypress, Selenium
• Background in business analysis, QA, or delivery
• Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment
