QA Engineer

Overview

About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer to own quality across the entire application stack. You will design, build, and maintain automated testing solutions for frontend, backend/API, integration/environment, and performance layers using modern, industry-leading tools.

Key Responsibilities

1. Frontend Testing: Develop and maintain robust end-to-end automated UI tests using Playwright (or Cypress) for web and cross-browser compatibility.
2. Backend / API Testing: Design, implement, and execute comprehensive API and backend tests using pytest and Postman (collections, Newman, contract testing).
3. Integration / Environment Testing: Build reliable integration and environment-specific test suites with Testcontainers to spin up real Docker-based dependencies (databases, message queues, third-party services) in isolated, reproducible environments.
4. Performance Testing: Create and execute load, stress, and scalability tests using k6 (or Locust) to ensure the application meets performance SLAs under realistic conditions.
5. Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to integrate all test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
6. Perform exploratory and manual testing when needed, triage defects, and drive continuous improvement of QA processes.

Requirements (Must-Have)

1. Minimum 4 years (4+ YOE) of hands-on experience in test automation and quality engineering.
2. Strong proficiency in frontend automation with Playwright or Cypress.
3. Solid experience writing automated tests in pytest and working with Postman for API testing.
4. Practical experience with Testcontainers for integration and environment testing.
5. Hands-on performance testing experience with k6 or Locust.
6. Strong programming skills in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
7. Working knowledge of Docker, Git, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have
Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools.
