Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our growing
team. This role demands a high level of ownership, analytical thinking, and a deep
understanding of testing methodologies, especially in exploratory, mobile/web
application, and API testing environments. Experience in leading test strategies,
cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring a high-quality end-user experience is
crucial.
Key Responsibilities
● Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies and test plans for web,
mobile, and API platforms.
● Perform manual and exploratory testing with a deep focus on user experience,
edge cases, and product robustness.
● Lead testing efforts for new features and regression cycles, including functional,smoke, regression, and UAT testing.
● Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders in
Agile/Scrum environments.
● Identify, document, and track bugs to closure using tools like JIRA.
● Work on backend/API testing using tools like Postman, Swagger and perform
SQL-based verifications.
● Ensure proper logging, test coverage, and documentation using platforms like
TestRail.
● Contribute to peer reviews, release notes, and production readiness planning.
● Participate in customer defect triage calls and proactively identify gaps in test
coverage.
● Optionally contribute to test automation using Selenium or any preferred tools.
Required Skills
● 4+years of QA experience, preferably in Exploratory or End-to-End Testing roles.
● Strong knowledge of manual testing techniques for web and mobile platforms.
● Hands-on experience with API testing (Postman, Swagger) and bug tracking
tools like JIRA.
● Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes and experience in sprint-based delivery.
● Excellent understanding of the SDLC and STLC.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Good knowledge of SQL, Charles Proxy, and mobile device debugging tools (ADB,
Xcode, Android Studio).
● Exposure to domains such as e-commerce, healthcare, gaming, or telecom is a
plus.
Preferred Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
● Experience working in startups or fast-paced product companies.
● Experience or interest in performance testing or accessibility testing.
● Exposure to DevOps or CI tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) is an added advantage.
