Job Title: QA Engineer – API Automation & Manual Testing

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented QA Engineer with strong expertise in API Automation, Manual Testing (UI & API), and Database Testing. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through thorough testing, robust automation frameworks, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute API automation test scripts using industry-standard tools.

• Perform comprehensive manual testing for both UI and APIs to validate functionality, usability, and performance.

• Conduct database testing by writing and executing SQL queries to verify data integrity, consistency, and transactional accuracy.

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and quality goals.

• Identify, log, and track defects; ensure timely resolution through effective communication with the development team.

• Maintain and enhance test automation frameworks to support efficient and reliable test execution.

• Actively participate in test planning, risk assessments, and process improvement initiatives across the QA lifecycle.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in API Automation using tools such as Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI, or similar.

• Solid understanding of manual testing methodologies for both UI and APIs.

• Proficient in database testing, including writing complex SQL queries and understanding relational database concepts.

• Strong experience in test case design, execution, and defect management.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into DevOps workflows.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience with UI automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

• Knowledge of scripting or programming languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript.

• Exposure to performance testing and security testing methodologies and tools.
