QA Engineer (Hardware + Software)

Overview

We are looking for a QA Engineer to test both hardware devices and software systems (Android OS, apps, device flows). The role focuses on ensuring device stability, usability, and release readiness through hands-on testing and clear bug reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Android apps, OS flows, and end-to-end user journeys
• Perform functional, regression, sanity, and exploratory testing
• Identify, reproduce, and document bugs with logs and evidence
• Test physical devices for power, charging, ports, peripherals, and connectivity
• Validate boot, reboot, sleep/wake, and long-duration usage scenarios
• Collaborate with developers and product teams during releases

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and structured thinking
• Clear communication and ownership of quality
• Comfortable working with physical devices and repetitive testing
• Basic understanding of QA concepts (test cases, regression, bug reporting)
• Curiosity to understand systems end-to-end

Nice to Have

• Experience with Android testing or device QA
• Familiarity with logs (Logcat) and bug tracking tools (Jira/GitHub)
