QA Engineer ( 1-2 Years)

About the Role:
We’re looking for versatile QA and Automation engineers who will—
1. Take responsibility for end to end testing and delivery of the products at Setu.
2. Improve through peer-learning and transmit them to peers.
3. Take ownership and get the job done. We need role shapers, not role takers.
What You'll Do:
The candidate that will succeed in this position will be able to create all the testing and automation frameworks as required for their projects. Thus, the candidate may have to work on multiple projects once, also working to improve the company's best practices from a testing a standpoint.
The Automation Engineer role involves working across various products at Setu. You get exposure across various products in the fintech domain.
Test Automation Development:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools.
- Collaborate with developers to design test cases and create scripts that ensure full coverage of features.
- Continuously improve the automation process by identifying new opportunities for automation.
Test Planning & Execution:
- Understand the software requirements and contribute to the creation of test plans.
- Execute manual and automated test cases and report defects in a detailed and reproducible manner.
- Participate in test case reviews and provide feedback for improvement.
Defect Tracking & Management:
- Identify, log, and track defects using bug tracking tools.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure timely resolution of defects.
- Perform regression testing to validate defect fixes and new features.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other stakeholders, to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Continuous Learning:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools, techniques, and trends in the industry.
- Engage in continuous learning to enhance your skills in software testing and automation.
What We're Looking For
An ideal candidate should either have worked on or at least have knowledge of the technologies mentioned below:
- Strong understanding of software development and testing principles.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Pytest
- Familiarity with programming languages like Java, Python.
- Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
