QA Engineer (TOSCA) - AVP

Overview

• Candidate will perform a QA Engineer role to support Avaloq core banking application test automation activities of Deutsche Bank EMEA and APAC regions within the PB – Private Banking department.
• Candidates need to operate at Squad level and provides an oversight of quality of Squad deliverables. They will analyze and test new features with an end-to-end business view to determine that the business outcome is fit for purpose.
• The QA Engineer should able to understand Avaloq business flows and functions and help to implement TOSCA Test automation scripts wherever possible to achieve regression testing. They should be able to perform activities like test automation design, execution, reporting and test data management. • Write test cases based on user story acceptance criteria and business outcomes of the squad.
• Conduct testing activities, analyze, and record test results.
• Design, develop and maintain automation scripts.
• Verify corrections and collaborate with other Squad team members to ensure defects are resolved.
• Support usage of Test management (MF ALM) and Test execution tools.
• Report progress/update Agile team management tools (JIRA/Confluence).
• Govern quality through the SDLC lifecycle and create Test Automation Strategy & Roadmap for squads.
• Attend Squad ceremonies e.g., daily stand-up meeting
• Quality reviews of deliverables produced by the squad members.
  
  

• Good experience of Tosca test automation tool.
• Excellent understanding of Tosca's core concepts (Modules, TestCases, TestSteps, TestStepValues, TestData, ExecutionLists, Reporting).
• Experience with TBox and classic engines within Tosca.
• Ability to design and implement reusable Tosca Modules using various scanning techniques (e.g., XScan for UI, API Scan for web services).
• Good knowledge of various Business flows and functions areas of Private and Retail banking.
• Good knowledge of Avaloq or any core banking application is desired.
• Hands-on experience with Test Management/test planning activities, designing test cases, user story/script creation and execution.
• Knowledge and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, Acceptance Test Driven Development, Behavior Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pair working, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
• Knowledge of various test levels and test types: white/black box, system, performance, integration, regression testing.
• Understand and promote Agile values: FROCC (Focus, Respect, Openness, Commitment, Courage).
• High analytical and technical capabilities.
• Familiar with Agile Team management tools (JIRA, Confluence).
• Excellent communications skills: ability to translate complex business processes and technical designs and concerns into easy-to-understand language.
• Excellent test reporting skills.
• Experience with distributed/multi-locations teams.
• Comfortable working in multi-disciplinary, self-organized teams with functional stakeholders of various levels.
• Able to control multiple assignments and to manage priorities.
