Plastics Processing Basic Knowledge ( Injection /Blow moulding)
A Trainee QA role in the plastics industry typically involves assisting with quality control procedures, inspecting incoming materials and finished products, and supporting the development and implementation of quality control processes. The trainee may also participate in Internal audits, analyze product quality data, and assist with the documentation of quality procedures.
- Quality Control Procedures:
- Performing routine inspections and quality tests: This could involve visually inspecting raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished goods for defects.
- Assisting with quality control testing: This might include using equipment to measure material properties, such as MFI , impact resistance, or dimensional accuracy , weight etc
- Identifying and resolving production issues: This involves recognizing potential quality problems during the Injection moulding production process and working with the team to implement corrective actions.
- Ensuring that standards and safety requirements are observed: This includes adhering to industry standards and safety protocols related to material handling, equipment operation, and Rejection / waste disposal.
- Supporting Quality Process Development:
- Assisting in the development of new quality control processes: This could involve helping to create standardized procedures for inspecting products, collecting data, and analyzing results. Using Basic SPC Tools
- Participating in audits: This might involve helping to verify that quality control procedures are being followed and that products meet specifications.
- Analyzing product quality data: This includes collecting and analyzing data on defects, production yields, and customer complaints to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Preparing reports on quality control Observations: This will Include documenting inspection results, test data, and corrective actions taken. RCA & CAPA
- Maintaining quality records: This involves keeping accurate records of inspections, tests, and other quality-related activities.
