QA Performance Tester (225-709)

Job Description

The role of a QA Performance Tester is crucial in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of software systems under various conditions. As a QA Performance Tester, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing tests to assess the performance, scalability, and responsiveness of applications. Your work will ensure that the software can handle expected, and unexpected, traffic without a hitch. Collaborating closely with development and operations teams, you'll identify bottlenecks, track down issues, and propose enhancements for optimal performance. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will be critical in enhancing overall user experience and maintaining the quality standards of software products. Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive performance test plans and test cases.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Collaborate with software developers and architects to improve software performance.
• Analyze test results and work closely with teams to resolve issues swiftly.
• Monitor application performance in production environments to ensure stability.
• Create detailed documentation of test procedures and performance outcomes.
• Automate performance tests to increase efficiency and repeatability.
• Ensure proper integration of performance tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Keep abreast of industry trends to incorporate best practices in testing.
• Conduct load, stress, and endurance tests to validate reliability.
• Report and track performance issues through to resolution.
• Mentor junior team members in performance testing methodologies.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Performance Tester or similar QA role.
• Strong understanding of performance testing concepts and tools.
• Experience with testing frameworks and scripting languages such as JMeter.
• Familiarity with load testing tools and performance monitoring tools.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Good communication skills to present findings to technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience with agile methodologies and working in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on delivering high-quality work.
