Job description. We're looking for an experienced and analytical Quality Assurance Tester with a strong website and application testing background to join our expanding IT team. The ideal candidate has experience with both manual and automated testing. This position will start out primarily working on manual testing but quickly growing and helping out in multiple different areas. We are seeking an experienced QA Testing Engineer with a strong background in manual and automation testing, capable of testing web and native mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have solid experience with Java-based automation, test case management, and defect tracking, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain functional, acceptance, regression, and integration test cases/suites.
• Collaborate with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and define effective test strategies and plans.
• Execute test cases manually and through automation scripts to validate features.
• Implement and maintain automation test scripts for both Web and Native Mobile applications using Java.
• Ensure continuous improvement and optimization of existing automation frameworks.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments.
• Identify, report, and track technical defects clearly using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Verify defect resolutions and maintain detailed defect logs for traceability.
• Work closely with developers to resolve and retest fixed issues.
• Maintain and organize test artifacts (test cases, test data, test scripts, test results) using Test Management Tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, HP ALM).
• Document detailed and well-structured test reports and share insights with project teams.
• Manage testing activities across multiple concurrent projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Provide regular status updates and communicate test progress, risks, and issues to relevant stakeholders.
  
  

Required Skills

• 58 years of QA experience in both manual and automation testing.
• Proficient in Java programming for writing test automation scripts.
• Experience in automating Web and Mobile applications (e.g., using Selenium, Appium).
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies: functional, regression, system, and integration testing.
• Familiarity with test management tools and defect tracking tools.
• Understanding of CI/CD processes and integrating test automation with tools like Jenkins, Git, etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage testing efforts across multiple projects.
• Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
• Exposure to API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured.
• Experience in performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments and practices.
• ISTQB certification or similar testing credentials.
