We’re a game changer that optimizes supply chains of the world’s leading companies with our very own smart software and services.
Are you passionate about ensuring the highest quality in software products by contributing to the evolution of our QA processes? Do you thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment where your expertise can make a real impact driving innovation and efficiency across the board? And are you ready to join a place where smart solutions meet human collaboration?
If so, you could be our new Senior Quality Assurance Test Engineer. Read on to learn more.
Your challenge
As a Quality Assurance Test Engineer for Operations Research, it is crucial to understand the mathematical optimization modules and (meta)heuristics that act as an optimization backbone for the complex dynamics of the supply chain covered by our software.
You Are Responsible For
- Identifying and mitigating risks proactively to foresee potential issues that could impact functionality, performance, security, or compliance in the area of containerized applications and infrastructure-as-code.
- Developing and executing automation scripts using different tools and languages to perform new feature tests, load tests, and continuous regression testing of mathematical optimization modules and (meta) heuristic methods to ensure they meet design specifications and performance requirements.
- Integrating automated tests into pipelines to ensure continuous validation of changes
- Accurately estimating the priority level and difficulty of the required testing and planning accordingly.
- Tracking bugs and documenting your actions, while continuously communicating with all parties involved.
- Understanding how solver parameters and heuristics influence outcomes and applying best practices to identify edge cases, infeasibility, degeneracy, local optima, etc., while using anonymized or synthetic data that closely mimics real-world scenarios to ensure tests are relevant and uncover potential production issues
As our new Quality Assurance Test Engineer, you’ll be part of a large, fast-growing, international Quality Assurance team located in Belgium (Antwerp, Ghent, Wavre), Spain (Barcelona), Ukraine (Lviv), and the US (Atlanta). Quality Assurance identifies and tracks the weak spots in our software. With thorough testing, and a systematic analysis and review of the entire software development cycle, the team oversees, controls, and optimizes our solution’s overall quality.
About You
Essential talents and qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience in supply chain solutions is a plus.
- At least 6 years of experience in a software testing role that included testing methodologies, tools, and processes, as well as writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- A solid technical IT background.
- A passion for improving the quality of software products.
- The ability to work in a structured way and follow procedures, while simultaneously keeping a clear overview at all times.
- An eagerness to learn combined with resilience to time pressure.
- Strong analytical abilities (e.g. to evaluate solver outputs, optimization behavior, edge cases) with a general understanding of mathematical programming and (meta)heuristic methods.
- Familiarity with a scripting language like JavaScript or Python.
- The ability to work independently and a willingness to proactively improve the efficiency of testing.
- A certificate in software testing (ISTQB advanced) or project management (PMP).
We find the perfect intersection of your talents and our evolving needs. Our talent management program supports your personal development and empowers you to build a career in line with your ambitions.
Many of our team members who start as Quality Assurance Test Engineers grow into roles in quality assurance expertise or people management.
