Role Overview

We are seeking a talented Data Scientist with 4- 6 years of hands-on experience to join our dynamic team in Navi Mumbai. You will be involved in solving complex business problems using advanced analytics and machine learning, collaborating with stakeholders, designing experiments, and delivering solutions that scale. You will also mentor junior team members and help shape our data science practices, tools, and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse large, varied datasets to extract actionable insights and inform strategic decisions.
• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models (classification, regression, clustering, etc.) with scalability and production-grade performance.
• Perform feature engineering, data cleaning, preprocessing and exploratory data analysis.
• Work closely with product, engineering, business, and operations teams to understand business needs and translate them into analytical/machine learning solutions.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, integrating different data sources; ensure data quality and consistency.
• Monitor model performance, retrain models as required, perform A/B testing, and manage model versioning.
• Communicate findings through dashboards, visualisations, reports to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide junior data scientists / analysts, review code, and promote best practices.
• Stay updated on latest trends, tools, and research in AI/ML, and evaluate applicability for our environment.
  
  

What Were Looking For

• 4- 6 years of experience as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Python (preferred) and/or R; experience with SQL.
• Hands-on experience with ML frameworks: scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost, etc.
• Good knowledge of statistics, probability, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
• Data engineering skills : ETL pipelines, data wrangling, handling large-scale datasets.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure) and services (e.g. Sagemaker, BigQuery, Databricks etc.).
• Experience in deploying and maintaining models in production (MLOps practices, versioning, monitoring).
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI, Plotly, etc.).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment; self-motivated, detail-oriented.
  
  

Nice To Have

• Experience with natural language processing, computer vision, or deep learning.
• Knowledge of time series forecasting, anomaly detection.
• Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka etc.).
• Sector-specific analytics experience (fintech, e-commerce, healthcare or others).
• Prior mentorship or small-team leadership experience.
