React + Java Full Stack Senior Software Engineer

Overview

Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and React UI framework, along with hands‑on experience in DevOps practices. The ideal candidate is also proficient in using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and possesses strong prompting skills to enhance productivity and code quality.

In This Role, You Will

• Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
• Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
• Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
• Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new client needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
• Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
  
  

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  
  

• 5+ years' experience in software Engineering
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high‑performance applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture
• Build rich, responsive, and user‑friendly front-end interfaces using React
• Develop RESTful APIs, integrate with backend services, and ensure smooth end-to-end application flow
• Work with JEE technologies for enterprise application components and integrations
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Hands‑on expertise with Microsoft SQL Server or similar relational database technologies
• Ensure application security, performance tuning, and optimization across all layers
• Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Design Principles and Patterns, Java 11 and above
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA, and cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments
• Utilize AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT/Copilot Prompting) to accelerate development, write cleaner code, generate test cases, and support documentation
• Participate in code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers
• Strong communication, problem-solving and collaboration skills
