We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with strong M&A experience to lead and manage IT projects related to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and integrations. This role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing complex IT workstreams in fast-paced M&A environments, ensuring business continuity, compliance, and integration success.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end IT project management for M&A initiatives, including pre-deal due diligence, post-merger integration (PMI), and IT separation (Carve-out).
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, risk mitigation strategies, and stakeholder communications.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (IT Infrastructure, Applications, Security, Legal, HR, Finance) to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Assess and map IT landscapes, infrastructure, and application portfolios of both acquiring and target entities.
- Lead activities such as data migration, system integration, user provisioning, compliance checks, and TSA (Transition Service Agreement) execution.
- Ensure adherence to cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, SOX) during the transition.
- Track KPIs and provide regular project status updates to executives and stakeholders.
- Manage third-party vendors, service providers, and consultants involved in the M&A process.
- Drive change management and end-user communication across impacted organizations.
- Participate in post-implementation reviews and ensure continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of IT project management experience, with 3+ years specifically managing M&A-related projects.
- Solid understanding of M&A lifecycle, including due diligence, Day 1 readiness, TSA, integration, and divestiture processes.
- Experience in managing projects involving SAP, Oracle, Microsoft O365, Active Directory, ITSM tools, cloud platforms.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Ability to handle ambiguity, tight timelines, and confidential environments with professionalism.
- Prior experience in consulting firms, private equity, or multinational corporations.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and service transition.
- Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., pharmaceuticals, finance, manufacturing).
- May require occasional travel to global business units or acquired entities.
- Hybrid work environment depending on business need.
