Job Description
Senior Python Developer
We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer with 4 to 8 years of experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices and APIs that power our modern applications. You will work across the full stack—from robust backend systems to cloud infrastructure deployment—while collaborating in an Agile environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Backend Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Implement RESTful API and asynchronous programming practices to ensure responsive and efficient services.
- Microservices & Communication:
- Develop and manage inter-service communication using Pub/Sub messaging patterns (e.g., Google Pub/Sub, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Architect solutions with API gateways for seamless integration and communication across services.
- Ensure robust design and deployment of microservices architecture.
- Cloud & Infrastructure:
- Manage and optimize databases using Google CloudSQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL), including schema design, query optimization, and security practices.
- Integrate content management solutions with Google Cloud Storage.
- Utilize Docker for containerization and manage deployments, including frontend applications on Vercel.
- Deploy and monitor applications on AWS using services such as EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, and Kubernetes (EKS).
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and leverage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools for streamlined operations.
- Additional Integrations & Tools:
- Integrate email services using Mailgun, managing transactional and bulk email functionalities.
- Implement AI-powered summarization workflows by integrating ChatGPT APIs, applying NLP and prompt engineering techniques.
- Collaboration & Agile Practices:
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain high standards of documentation and communication throughout the development lifecycle.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Technical Proficiency:
- Strong expertise in Python with hands-on experience in developing and maintaining microservices.
- In-depth knowledge of frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Familiarity with RESTful API design and asynchronous programming patterns.
- Microservices & Messaging:
- Proven experience with Pub/Sub messaging systems like Google Pub/Sub, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
- Solid understanding of API gateways and inter-service communication.
- Cloud & Deployment:
- Experience with Google CloudSQL for database management.
- Proficiency with Google Cloud Storage and object storage solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, containerization, and deployment strategies.
- Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, Kubernetes/EKS) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices.
- Integration & Additional Tools:
- Experience integrating Mailgun for email services.
- Familiarity with ChatGPT API integration for AI-powered automation and summarization.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative Agile environment.
