Your role
Are you an analytic thinker? Do you have experience with big data and know how to develop innovative solutions? We’re looking for Junior Data Analyst with practical knowledge SQL to:

• build and maintain data pipelines including debugging and optimization
• participate in process automation to support straight-through processing
• implement quality assurance and data quality checks to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• work closely with a global team of researchers, engineers, and business analysts on building innovative data solutions
  
  

Your team
UBS Evidence Lab is the most experienced global team of alternative data experts. We’re a collection of data and software engineers, quantitative market researchers, social media experts, data pricing whizzes, and more. This diversity allows us to look at problems from differing perspectives and turn data into evidence.

You’ll be working closely with various Data Analyst teams, which are a part of a street-leading primary research platform called Evidence Lab. Your role will be focused on ability to systematically analyze and build statistical models on companies and markets that Evidence Lab does research on. Your main goal is to give insights for better business decisions. Our offices is located Globally and you will be working closely with analysts based out of Poland, US, UK, and APAC. You would be required to work from UBS BSC Hyderabad (India).

Your expertise

• command of SQL with practical understanding of SQL databases
• understanding of data structures and data manipulation techniques including classification, parsing, pattern matching
• intellectual curiosity, very strong analytical skills, problem solving and critical reasoning
• strong English language skills essential
• basic command of Python would be an asset
• High degree of proactivity and creativity
• Willingness to collaborate and work in a team
• Ability to take ownership of projects and processes for continuous improvement
• Excellent attention to detail
• Flexible approach on working hours and work timings
