Revalsys Technologies - eCommerce Test Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced E-commerce Test Engineer with strong expertise in Functional and Automation Testing using Selenium to ensure high-quality, stable, and scalable releases across e-commerce platforms.

The role involves validating complex user journeys, integrating automated regression suites, and collaborating closely with product and business teams to deliver seamless customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Functional & Manual Testing :

• Perform end-to-end functional testing of e-commerce modules including :
• Product browsing and search
• Cart and checkout flows
• Payment gateways and promotions
• Order management, tracking, and returns
• Validate integrations with third-party services such as payment providers, logistics, and tax systems.
• Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in coordination with business stakeholders before each release.
  
  

• Design, develop, and maintain automated regression test suites using Selenium WebDriver.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Ensure test scripts are reusable, maintainable, and scalable.
  
  

• Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios aligned with business requirements.
• Maintain traceability matrices linking requirements, test cases, and defect coverage.
• Document defects clearly with steps, screenshots, and logs.
  
  

• Work closely with developers, product owners, and business teams to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release readiness reviews.
• Track test execution metrics and report quality status to stakeholders.
  
  

• Strong experience in functional testing of e-commerce platforms
• Hands-on expertise in Selenium WebDriver for test automation
• Knowledge of test frameworks (TestNG, JUnit, or similar)
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
• Experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA or similar)
  
  

• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured)
• Exposure to performance testing tools
• Knowledge of SQL for backend data validation
• Experience working with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git)
  
  

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  
  

• 4+ years of QA experience, preferably in e-commerce platforms
• Proven experience testing large-scale web applications
• Experience in both manual and automation testing
  
  

• Test coverage and defect leakage rate
• Stability and effectiveness of automated regression suite
• On-time test execution and release readiness
