Job Title: Robotics Software Engineer
Location: Rajkot (Work from office)
Type: Full-time (~8 hours/day)
Salary: Based on skills and experience
Role Overview
You will design, build and test software for real robots and their simulators. The work will span control, perception, motion, and system integration in Linux-based environments.
What You’ll Do
• Develop robotics software in Python and C++
• Build and maintain nodes/stacks in our custom software stack similar to ROS2
• Work with kinematics, control loops, and motion planning
• Develop and run robot simulations in tools like Webots / Isaac Sim (or similar)
• Integrate and process data from cameras, depth sensors, IMUs, etc.
• Use OpenCV or similar libraries for computer vision tasks
• Work daily on Ubuntu/Linux for development, testing, deployment, and documentation.
• Implement behaviour trees for robot decision-making and task control
• Debug, profile, and improve existing robotics codebases
Must-Have
• Degree in Robotics / Computer Science / Mechatronics / Electronics or related field
• Knowledge and experience of working with electronics hardware like relay/FPGA/Motor drivers/IMU
• +1 Year of hands-on experience in robotics software development (Internsip/Project doesn't count)
• Solid programming skills in Python and C++
• Practical experience with ROS or ROS2
• Understanding of:
o Basic control systems (PID, etc.)
o Motion planning concepts
• Comfortable working in Ubuntu/Linux
• Experience with Webots, Isaac Sim, or other robotics simulators
• Good at computer vision.
• Sensor integration: depth camera, IMU, encoders, etc.
• Experience using behaviour trees in robotics
• Participation in Robocon / RoboFest / robotics competitions
• Git-based workflow (GitHub / GitLab / etc.)
