A Day in the Life
Our Global Diabetes Capability Center in Pune is expanding to serve more people living with diabetes globally. Our state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to transforming diabetes management through innovative solutions and Technologies that reduce the burden of living with diabetes.
This role will provide support for MiniMed logistics execution processes.
This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Minimed’s Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential, enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Provide functional leadership for SAP LE and WM, ensuring seamless integration with SD, MM, IM, and Transportation processes.
- Design, optimize, and govern end‑to‑end Logistics Execution processes, including picking, packing, shipping, goods issue, and delivery execution.
- Architect and oversee warehouse processes, including storage types, put‑away, picking strategies, handling units, and inventory movements.
- Oversee interfaces and integrations with external logistics systems, carriers, and warehouse automation solutions.
- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements, functional specifications, and process designs.
- Support SAP implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and production support, including defect resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage incident resolution, change requests, and enhancements, ensuring timely and high‑quality delivery.
- Lead functional design reviews, prepare solution documentation, and ensure adherence to SAP best practices and enterprise standards.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to senior and junior functional consultants, ensuring high‑quality delivery and knowledge continuity.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams on interface design, enhancements, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with Business Relationship Manager (BRM), business stakeholders and IT Product Owners / Managers to develop business requirements for product or system changes.
- Minimum of 10+ years of SAP functional experience, with deep specialization in Logistics Execution (LE) processes, IM, WM and EWM.
- Strong hands‑on expertise in SAP LE – IM, WM, EWM, outbound and inbound logistics processes
- Strong experience integrating LE/WM with SAP SD, MM, and Inventory Management (IM)
- Experience working with interfaces, IDocs, and 3PLs from third‑party or upstream systems.
- Should have strong SAP Standard configuration knowledge and good SAP project process knowledge.
- S/4 implementation experience is mandatory
- Experience in gathering business requirements, providing conceptual and detailed designs to meet business needs, performing necessary SAP configurations, writing detail specifications for development of custom programs, testing, co-ordination of transports to production and post-go live support
- High business sensitivity, result oriented with ability to manage stakeholders and contractors.
- Ability to work with teams across geographical locations with various functional & technical expertise. Ability to work globally with diverse nationalities in a matrix environment
- Proactive, self-starter and able to take initiative
- Fluent English. Strong written and verbal communication skills
