The SAP Technical Support Engineer Role
At Qlik, our support Technicians are our HEROES. That’s because our technicians do more than manage complex technical support cases they are determined, resilient, and have an unshakable positive mindset. Our team in Bangalore consists of support professionals from multiple backgrounds, who work and play closely together. We have a larger Global support team that we interact with daily, with locations in Bangalore, Barcelona, Lund, Sydney, Tokyo, China, Raleigh and North Carolina USA. We think you will love it here!
We operate 24x7 which involves working during one of the below shifts determined as per business need and have a non-standard work week (Ex: Tue - Sat, Wed - Sun). While we have 5 days a work week, your weekly offs may fall on any day of the week depending on the shift rosters that are prepared on a two-month basis.

- AMER hours (Eastern Standard Time - 5.30 PM/6.30 PM IST or Pacific Standard Time – 8:30 PM/9:30 PM IST onwards depending on Daylight Savings Time)
- EMEA hours – 12:00 PM/1 PM/2PM IST onwards depending on Daylight Savings Time
- APAC hours – 5.30 AM IST onwards

Here’s How You’ll Be Making An Impact
- Provide L2/L3 production support for SAP BW and SAP S/4HANA systems, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of incidents.
- Handle incident and service request queues using ITSM tools with strict adherence to SLAs.
- Investigate and resolve data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) issues across SAP BW (on HANA/BW/4HANA) and S/4HANA systems.
- Perform root cause analysis and apply permanent fixes for recurring production issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Qlik Replicate, Qlik Compose, and Qlik Sense data flows from SAP.
- Maintain and support ODP-based data extractions, BW Queries, InfoProviders, and CDS Views consumed by Qlik tools.
- Monitor and optimize Qlik data pipelines from SAP BW and S/4HANA, including real-time replication.
- Support user queries related to reporting and analytics driven by Qlik dashboards.
- Manage and escalate Sev1/Sev2 incidents as per defined procedures and coordinate with global teams.
- Assist with system upgrades, patch deployments, and post-deployment validations relevant to SAP-Qlik integration.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in SAP BW (on HANA/BW/4HANA) and SAP S/4HANA production support.
- Strong knowledge of BW data flows, Process Chains, ABAP routines, BEx Queries, and CDS Views.
- Familiarity with ODP extractors, SLT replication, and SAP connector troubleshooting for Qlik.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a 24x7 global support model (on-call rotation if required).
- Bangalore-India (This is a hybrid opportunity based in JP Nagar Bangalore location).
