Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Scrum Master / Project Manager to lead and manage end-to-end delivery of software projects up to a TCV of $500K. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating agile practices, ensuring project governance, managing risks, and driving outcomes across multiple teams. You will work closely with stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and leadership to ensure timely, quality delivery that aligns with customer expectations and strategic business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Delivery Management

• Manage end-to-end project lifecycle from initiation to closure for small to medium-sized projects.
• Ensure project scope, timelines, and costs are adhered to as per contract.
• Track and report project KPIs, manage deliverables, and analyze overall project health.
• Implement and tailor delivery methodologies (Agile/Scrum/Hybrid) to optimize KPIs and quality outcomes.

Agile Facilitation & Scrum Leadership

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Coach development teams on agile principles and foster self-organization and high performance.
• Work with Product Owner to manage and refine the product backlog and prioritize features.
• Identify and eliminate impediments that hinder team productivity.

Stakeholder & Communication Management

• Identify internal and external stakeholders, establish communication plans, and build strong relationships.
• Define and manage RACIA roles and responsibilities across the project team.
• Report project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders and leadership.

Scope, Estimation & Planning

• Conduct requirements elicitation and impact analysis of changes across project phases.
• Define scope control mechanisms, estimation, and resource planning.
• Conduct pyramid-based resource planning aligned with project KPIs.

Risk & Issue Management

• Proactively identify risks, define mitigation plans, and track dependencies.
• Document and communicate issues and ensure escalation pathways are followed.

Test & Defect Management

• Support test strategy, execution, defect triage, and root cause analysis.
• Prioritize defects based on business impact and collaborate in integration testing.

Quality, Tools & Governance

• Define tooling strategy for efficient delivery and compliance with quality standards.
• Tailor governance models to meet project-specific requirements.
• Champion the use of reusable assets and process improvements.

Financial & Profitability Management

• Create and manage profitability sheets, analyze resource costs, and improve project margins.
• Understand and define pricing models and cost implications for various delivery models.

Knowledge & Process Management

• Establish and maintain KM (Knowledge Management) plans and repositories.
• Contribute lessons learned and best practices to organizational knowledge bases.

Team Development

• Provide mentorship and performance feedback to team members.
• Implement frameworks for skill assessment and development within the team.
• Inspire innovation and continuous improvement in project execution.

Skills & Competencies

Technical & Project Skills

• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello)
• Understanding of SDLC, estimation techniques, and metrics analysis
• Strong problem-solving, facilitation, and conflict resolution abilities

Leadership & Communication

• Ability to manage cross-functional teams and coordinate complex projects
• Skilled in stakeholder communication and influencing across levels
• Experience in managing geographically distributed and remote teams

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification
• Proven experience in Agile project delivery and team facilitation
• Strong knowledge of software development processes and tools

Preferred

• Advanced certifications: A-CSM, PSM II, or SAFe
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and cloud-based delivery
• Experience working within a scaled Agile framework (e.g., SAFe, LeSS)
• Master's degree in a related discipline
