Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Data Scientist to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced machine learning and AI solutions. This role requires strong expertise in statistical modeling, deep learning, and production-grade AI systems, along with the ability to translate business problems into scalable data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and deploy machine learning and AI models for real-world applications
• Develop and optimize algorithms for large-scale data processing and predictive modeling
• Work closely with engineering teams to productionize models and integrate them into applications
• Lead end-to-end model lifecycle: data collection, feature engineering, training, evaluation, and monitoring
• Apply advanced techniques such as NLP, computer vision, and recommendation systems where relevant
• Drive experimentation, A/B testing, and performance tuning
• Ensure model robustness, scalability, and reliability in production
• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, business stakeholders)

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field (PhD preferred)
• 5–10+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or AI
• Strong programming skills in Python (and libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn)
• Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Solid understanding of statistical modeling, probability, and optimization techniques
• Experience working with large datasets and distributed systems (e.g., Spark)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Experience deploying models via APIs or microservices

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, or transformer-based architectures
• Knowledge of MLOps practices (CI/CD for ML, monitoring, model versioning)
• IIT Graduates
• Experience with vector databases and embedding models
• Familiarity with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and RESTful APIs
• Prior experience in a leadership or mentoring role
