**Senior AI Engineer — Planso

Preferred: IIT / BITS / IIIT / NIT

Planso is building the AI-native OS for the built environment, starting with AI-powered site intelligence and decision systems for global AEC firms.

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to build production-grade AI systems across LLMs, agents, RAG, geospatial intelligence, and enterprise workflows. You will work closely with the founding team and own core parts of Planso’s AI platform from zero to one.

Key Responsibilities

1. Build AI agents and LLM workflows for site analysis, spatial intelligence, design support, and AEC decision-making.
2. Develop RAG pipelines, tool-calling systems, structured outputs, evaluation flows, and AI orchestration layers.
3. Build scalable backend systems, APIs, data pipelines, and integrations.
4. Work with geospatial datasets such as maps, zoning, flood risk, climate risk, soil, transit, biodiversity, and demographics.
5. Own system quality across accuracy, latency, cost, reliability, scalability, and security.
6. Convert ambiguous customer problems into working AI products.

What We’re Looking For

1. 3–7 years of experience in software engineering, applied AI, ML engineering, or backend engineering.
2. Strong Python and backend engineering skills.
3. Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, agents, embeddings, vector databases, or AI workflows.
4. Strong problem-solving, ownership, and system design ability.
5. Graduate from IIT / BITS / IIIT / NIT preferred.
6. Bonus: experience with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, PostGIS, cloud infra, GIS, or AEC/geospatial systems.
