Overview
Job Description:
Looking for an Oracle Database and Java expert for Application Software Development Engineer with around 8-12 years of experience who can analyze, design, develop and maintain web-based software in a client/server environment using OUAF Framework, Java-J2EE, Servlet, JDBC, Spring Framework and REST Web Services, Oracle SQL/PLSQL, Database Proficiency, Performance Tuning, Groovy, Unix and GitHub. Exposure to Shell Script, Autosys, BI Publisher & OAS, AWS Fundamentals will be an added advantage. Having knowledge on ORMB is big plus.
What you will be responsible for:
As a Oracle, Java & J2EE Developer/Lead, you will possess:
- Analyze and develop solutions to the internal client needs as a developer within the team
- Maintains and supports existing software applications. Anticipate critical issues and risks; take responsibility for resolution.
- Should have good working knowledge on SDLC cycle, including QA, UAT, till Prod Deployment.
- Should lead the team and help to do code reviews for the team members.
- Design & Develop reusable components for application UI and backend code, write database queries and stored procedures while ensuring proper performance tuning.
- Analysis of the new requirement with minimal guidance and complete coding and unit testing independently.
- Provide assessments of task duration, complexity, progress, risk and estimate for delivery.
- Should be able to lead the conversations independently with Biz, Product Owners, Auditors and different Global Team.
- Should have excellent programming, solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly.
- Ability to learn new technologies and focused on continuous improvement or automation.
- Prepares systems documentation as needed.
Must-Have Skills:
- Database Proficiency: Ability to write Complex SQL queries & PL/SQL within the ORMB data model to retrieve, manipulate, and manage data efficiently.
- Java Proficiency : Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF) and integrating technologies such as Java/J2EE, JDBC, REST, XML/JSON, HTML, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Oracle Database and plugin-driven batches. Experience in preparing configuration design documents and developing ORMB configurations, including Service Scripts, Plug-in Scripts, BPA Scripts, UI Maps, Zones, and Portals along with unit testing.
- Performance Tuning: Ability to diagnose and resolve performance issues within the ORMB system, focusing on aspects like SQL query optimization, database configuration, and end-to-end system performance. Experience using tools for monitoring system performance, such as AWR reports and other monitoring tools.
- Deployment & Integration Expertise: In-depth knowledge of deployment models (On-Prem, SaaS) and integration strategies with third-party applications.
- Production Support: Experience in providing ongoing functional and technical production support during and after the go-live phase.
Good-to-Have / Preferred Skills:
- ORMB Expertise: Technical experience in Oracle Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB) modules, including Customer Setup, Billing, Pricing, Billing Payments & Collections, and General Ledger. Strong understanding of ORMB technical architecture, framework methods, and the underlying infrastructure including Web Application Server, Business Application Server, and Database Server. Experience in designing and supporting real-time and batch programs to meet business requirements.
- System Monitoring / Scheduling: Ability to monitor and support job streams such as Autosys during critical billing and general ledger activities to ensure smooth operation.
- Build & Deployment: Proficient in creating build instructions and collaborating with the configuration management team to deploy solutions in an On-Demand environment.
- Analytics & Reports: Good to have working experience in BI publisher and Oracle Analytics.
