Amazon Advertising exists at the intersection of marketing and ecommerce and offers advertisers a rich array of innovative advertising solutions across Amazon owned properties, as well as third party properties Amazon operates. The Analytics & Insights (A&I) organization develops actionable insights using Amazon’s unique data to influence how advertisers promote their businesses. Our insights enhance their marketing decision-making, leading to them to be measurably more successful with Amazon. The A&I organization consists of a variety of different Practices, which are groups that focus on different approaches to create these insights.
Key job responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior Analyst to lead critical analytical projects in support of Amazon’s Global Advertising organization. This individual will play a strategic role in shaping insights and recommendations that impact key advertising initiatives. The ideal candidate will be able to understand the customer's advertising problems and leverage Amazon's first party insights to find a solution. The candidate will also be able to leverage third party insights (when necessary). The candidate will identify potential insights solutions to automate and scale. They will help mentor junior employees on the team and play an active role in maintaining team culture and morale.
This is a highly visible role, requiring collaboration with senior stakeholders in globally.
About The Team
We are the Analytics & Insights team within the global Amazon Ads business. We solve problems for our sales teams, advertisers and partners by leveraging Amazon's rich first party insights and partnering with third party vendors (if needed). We help advertisers and agencies optimize and grow their investment on Amazon Ads.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Engineering, Math)
- 6+ years of experience in business analysis, data science, or business intelligence
- Expert-level SQL skills and experience manipulating large datasets
- Strong programming skills in Python or R for automation and modeling
- Strong business acumen and experience in translating data into insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with global stakeholder exposure
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement scalable solutions
- Use SQL and Python to create and enhance insights, analyzing complex datasets to identify scaling opportunities
- Design and implement quality control processes for scaled insights
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation in content creation
- Maintain documentation and best practices for insights scaling
- Master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
- Prior experience in digital advertising or media analytics
- Knowledge of experimentation frameworks and statistical modeling techniques
- Experience influencing senior decision-makers through data-driven narratives
