Identity team is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join the EG Identity team, a part of Platform Acceleration and Architecture team to help us build Identity and Access Management System. The position is critical to design and develop micro services as part of platform consolidation of Identity products. Help build new login, authentication and authorization products that involves basic knowledge of frontend and in-depth experience in backend implementation. In this role, you will help us designing new services, ensure scalability, security, reliability, availability metrics are met. You will help manage Login/Identity products as well building core platform components. You will lead junior engineers, work with them and help them grow. Come up with new ideas to continue building trusted marketplace. Your work will lead to a direct impact on growing revenue for EG as well as build foundation components for standing up the EG platform.

In This Role, You Will

• Design and lead advancements in solution designs related to data engineering, cloud data platforms, data models, and business intelligence.
• Build and operate highly available, distributed systems for data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets.
• Advise on the design, performance tuning, and scalability of batch and real-time stream analytics systems.
• Research and recommend frameworks, architectural patterns, and software design best practices for large-scale data processing.
• Advocate for operational excellence, including unit testing, establishing SLAs, and programming for resiliency and scalability.
• Collaborate with peers and diverse stakeholders to develop effective solutions, applying systems thinking to analyze issues and implement holistic improvements.
• Partner with business teams to understand and align technology with business outcomes.
• Lead communities of practice, share domain knowledge across teams, and serve as a mentor to junior engineers.
• Identify and remove technical roadblocks for your team to ensure long-term success.
  
  

Experience And Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree in software engineering, computer science or a similar field
• 7+ years of experience developing data and software solutions in any language Java, Scala or python, including ETLs, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior or lead role
• 3+ years of experience in building data pipelines in the cloud Experience in Cloud computing platforms including AWS, EMR, or Kubernetes/Docker
• Experience in Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, Splunk, Datadog.
• Experience in NoSQL and SQL Databases including MongoDB or Elastic Search

• Agile methodologies and tools including Jira or Scrum practices
• Strong communication skills, experience communicating across various groups, and levels of leadership within a global organization
• Enthusiastically seek out solutions for data engineering problems
• Focused developer with a strong sense of ownership
