Senior Data Engineer

Job Description

This role involves the development and application of engineering practice and knowledge in defining, configuring and deploying industrial digital technologies (including but not limited to PLM and MES) for managing continuity of information across the engineering enterprise, including design, industrialization, manufacturing and supply chain, and for managing the manufacturing data.

Job Description - Grade Specific

As a Power BI & MSBI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions using Microsoft technologies. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality dashboards, reports, and ETL processes.

In this role, you will:

• Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports using SQL Server and Excel data sources.
• Create DAX expressions for calculated columns, measures, and KPIs.
• Implement role-level security and custom visuals in Power BI.
• Develop and maintain SSIS packages for ETL processes, including data cleansing and transformation.
• Use control flow tasks like ForLoopContainer, Execute SQL Task, Data Flow Task.
• Optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver BI solutions.
• Schedule and monitor jobs using SQL Server Agent.
  
  

Your Profile

• 6+ years of experience in BI development using Power BI, SSIS, SSRS, and SQL Server.
• Strong hands-on experience with ETL design, data modeling, and reporting.
• Proficient in DAX, Power Query, and Power Pivot.
• Experience with custom visuals and real-time dashboards.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and performance tuning.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
