Accountabilities:

In this position, you will deliver tailored solutions to our Clinical Pharmacology & Safety Science colleagues, utilizing enterprise infrastructure and technology in alignment with AstraZeneca's "Bold Ambition" initiative for 2030. Your responsibilities will include gathering requirements from stakeholders, prototyping solutions, leading delivery (including testing and release), and collaborating closely with R&D IT, AI, and Bioinformatics teams. You will work with colleagues globally, primarily in Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Relevant graduate degree: Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or Engineering
• Great interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to delivery
• Ability to communicate effectively with different audiences (written and spoken) in English
• Ability to understand business needs and translate them into a solution
• Experience delivering scalable and well-engineered solutions across key elements of the data and analytics domain
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail
• Strong data analysis, data visualization, and data engineering skills
• Strong programming skills in Python and other similar languages
• Experience in Unix, SQL databases, cloud computing (AWS), and HPC (High Performance Computing)
• Experience in machine learning, AI, and statistical data analysis
• Experience in data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration
• Familiarity with professional software engineering practices and tools (version control, CI/CD, automated testing)
  
  
  

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• Experience with GenAI and Agentic workflows
• Experience architecting data platforms and data-driven solutions
• Experience in data processing, analysis, and visualization related to drug development processes, particularly clinical and pre-clinical
• Experience in data processing and analysis of omics data and bioinformatics in general
• Experience in developing methods and algorithms in the data engineering and analytics domain
