About the job:
We are seeking an experienced Presales Solution Architect with deep Microsoft Data Platform & AI expertise, combined with knowledge and exposure to other modern data platforms such as Snowflake, SAAL.AI, Databricks, Synapse, and BigQuery.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of architecting enterprise-scale data and AI solutions, leading presales engagements, and delivering large-scale data platform projects. This role will also be responsible for building a high-performing Data & AI practice within our Cloud BU and driving data consulting engagements for customers across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities Presales & Solutioning
Lead presales engagements from requirements gathering to solution architecture, sizing, and cost estimation.
Architect enterprise-grade Microsoft Data Platform solutions including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Data Factory, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure ML, and Microsoft Purview.
Integrate and design hybrid architectures involving other platforms such as Snowflake, SAAL.AI, Databricks, BigQuery, and AWS Redshift.
Develop proposals, SoWs, and RFP/RFI responses with competitive positioning.
Conduct solution demos, PoCs, and technical workshops for customers.
Key Responsibilities Delivery Enablement
Transition signed deals into successful delivery engagements, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.
Define reusable frameworks, reference architectures, and accelerators for Microsoft and multi-platform data solutions.
Provide technical leadership during design and early delivery phases.
Key Responsibilities Customer Engagement
Act as a trusted advisor to CxO and senior stakeholders on data modernization, AI adoption, and governance strategies.
Lead consulting engagements to assess current-state data maturity and define modernization roadmaps.
Collaborate with partner ecosystems (Microsoft, Snowflake, Databricks, Google Cloud, etc.) to deliver joint value propositions.
Key Responsibilities Practice Development
Build and scale a Data & AI practice within the Cloud BU, including hiring, training, and capability building.
Develop industry-specific AI solutions leveraging Microsoft AI & GenAI services and partner platforms.
Stay ahead of emerging trends in data engineering, analytics, AI, and governance.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong expertise in Microsoft Data Platform & AI including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Data Factory, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure ML, and Microsoft Purview.
Experience integrating with or working on other data platforms: Snowflake, SAAL.AI, Databricks, BigQuery, AWS Redshift.
Hands-on delivery background in enterprise data platform and AI implementations.
Strong knowledge of data architecture, ETL/ELT, modeling, governance, and security.
Familiarity with AI/ML, GenAI frameworks, and cognitive services.
Proven track record in presales solutioning, cost estimation, and proposal creation.
Relevant certifications preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, SnowPro, Databricks Certified Data Engineer, Azure AI Engineer Associate or AI/ML specialty certification.
Preferred Background
Experience across Public Sector, BFSI, Healthcare, and Energy verticals.
Exposure to vertical-led AI solutions.
Ability to set up and lead a Data & AI CoE.
Education
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or related field.
