Position: Senior Data Protection Engineer Location: Pune, India

Job Description: Senior Data Protection Engineer with extensive experience in managing and maintaining data protection platforms such as Rubrik, Cohesity, Oracle ZFS, and ZDLRA. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the security, availability, and integrity of critical data assets within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain data protection platforms including Rubrik, Cohesity, Oracle ZFS, and ZDLRA to uphold data security best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess data protection requirements and implement effective solutions.
• Monitor performance and availability of data protection systems using tools like New Relic to proactively address issues.
• Develop and maintain scripts using Python for automation tasks related to data protection processes.
• Utilize Ansible AWX for configuration management and automation of routine tasks.
• Participate in an on-call rotation schedule to provide timely support for any critical incidents.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Extensive experience managing Rubrik, Cohesity, Oracle ZFS, and ZDLRA data protection platforms in enterprise environments.
• Relevant certifications in data protection technologies are preferred.
• Proficiency in performance monitoring tools like New Relic for ensuring system efficiency.
• Strong scripting skills in Python for automation of data protection processes.
• Experience with Ansible AWX for configuration management tasks.

Additional Requirements: The position will involve participation in an on-call rotation schedule to address any critical incidents outside regular business hours.
