Senior Data Scientist

About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Data Scientist who is strong with data modeling, analytics, and backend data querying, bigquery, cloud understanding. You’ll work closely with engineering and product teams to turn raw data into insights, build internal models, and power data-driven decision-making across the company.
This is not a pure research role — you will be writing production-grade queries, and enabling business teams with reliable data.

Responsibilities

• Work with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and analytics needs
• Write highly optimized SQL queries and perform backend data extraction from APIs, databases, and internal systems
• Build dashboards, KPIs, and data products for business and engineering teams
• Develop predictive and statistical models to support business use cases
• Analyze trends, perform exploratory data analysis (EDA), and generate insights
• Work with backend engineers to design and improve data pipelines
• Maintain data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across internal systems
• Present data-driven recommendations to stakeholders in a simple, actionable way

Must-Have Skills

• 3–4 years of hands-on data science experience
• Strong proficiency in SQL (joins, window functions, query optimization)
• Experience with one or more: Python, Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn
• Strong understanding of statistics, experimentation, and model evaluation
• Experience pulling data from relational databases (Postgres/MySQL/Redshift/etc.)
• Experience with DataPipelines
• Comfortable integrating with backend systems or writing basic backend scripts
• Ability to turn business questions into well-defined analytical problems
• Solid communication skills — able to explain insights clearly

Good-to-Have / Bonus Skills

• Experience with data pipelines (Apache Beam, ETL tools, etc.)
• Familiarity with backend frameworks (Node.js, Python FastAPI, Django, etc.)
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Metabase, Tableau, etc.)
• Exposure to cloud platforms: GCP
• Basic understanding of APIs and microservices
