The Senior Database Engineer will contribute to the design and enhancement of scalable data architectures, proactively identify opportunities for automation, and support the continuous improvement of data operations across the organization.

Key Responsibilities 

• Ensure the availability, scalability, and performance of database systems
• Analyze solutions and implement best practices for database management
• Design, build, and maintain core database infrastructure
• Plan and manage the capacity of database infrastructure. Design and implement scalable solutions to accommodate increasing data volumes and user loads
• Develop tools and automation to simplify database operations
• Collaborate with the SRE team on production changes and incident mitigation
• Rapidly diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in high-pressure situations
• Provide database expertise to engineering teams
• Lead database-related projects, ensuring timely delivery
• Participate in oncall operations on rotation basis
  
  
  

• 5+ years of experience in supporting large-scale high-availability systems in a production environment
• Worked or contributed to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
• Experience with major cloud providers (AWS preferred)
• Proficiency in SQL, PostgreSQL internals, and Linux systems
• Familiarity with programming languages (C#, Java)
• Experience with configuration management and orchestration tools (AWS CDK, Terraform)
• Excellent speaking-listening-writing skills, attention to details, proactive self-starter.
