POSITION INFORMATION

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated MS SQL Database & Data Warehousing Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure, ensuring the smooth flow of high-quality data to support our business intelligence (BI) and artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives. You will work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust and scalable data solutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and maintain MS SQL databases, data warehouses, and data marts.

· Implement data warehousing solutions using Star Schema and other methodologies.

· Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources (e.g., databases, APIs, cloud platforms) into the data warehouse.

· Optimize database performance and query execution.

· Develop and implement data quality checks and controls.

· Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to support their data needs and research.

· Work with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

· Participate in the design and implementation of data pipelines and data lakes.

· Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data warehousing, database technologies, and cloud computing.

· Contribute to the development and maintenance of data governance policies and procedures.

· Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.

· Participate in projects related to AI/ML model development and deployment.

POSITION TYPE/REQUIRED HOURS OF WORK:

• Full-time; provide 3 hours of coverage overlap with US EST time zone M-F
• Office Time: 12 PM to 9 PM IST
• Location: Perungudi, Chennai , India

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• Bachelor's / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 9 to 14 years’ experience in MS SQL Server database development and administration.
• Proficiency in SQL programming, including writing and optimizing complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
• Strong experience with data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
• Proficient in ETL processes and SSIS package development.

· Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python, R).

· Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

· Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.

• Solid experience in query performance tuning and database optimization techniques.
• Ability to monitor and optimize database code for large-scale data tables.
• Familiarity with SQL Profiler, Execution Plans, and other performance analysis tools.
• Expertise in implementing coding standards and ensuring compliance with security best practices.

· Extensive experience in handling and managing large data sets.

· Experience with AI/ML concepts and technologies is a plus.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹521,132.28 - ₹2,078,086.29 per year
