About the role:

As a Senior Devops, you serve as the mentor and anchor for an engineering team. You create, own and are responsible for the Cloud & DevOps architecture that best serves a product in its functional and strategic needs.

Expectations/ Requirements:

• Experience in AWS
• A strong focus on automation and cloud-native thinking. A proven record of working within distributed infrastructures and experience in Cloud technology specifically AWS
• Will be responsible for delivery of all the technical implementation as per the requests in JIRA for different self-hosted & managed resources on AWS in an automated fashion, using the best practices of DevOps, security & cost optimization
• Own technical documentation for everything Cloud DevOps in Confluence
• Plan and prioritize work for your team, including collaborating with cross border teams
• Provide oversight and accountability for technical decisions
• You will collaborate with Developers, Program Managers, QA and DevOps Engineers in an agile development environment
• Constantly learn and grow as an engineer and an engine
• Knowledge of Kubernetes concepts, like pods, services, deployments, and stateful sets
• Experience with container runtimes like Docker and containers
• Familiarity with Kubernetes networking, including CNI plugins, ingress controllers, and service meshes
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools, such as Helm, Kustomize, Argocd and Terraform
• Ability to set up monitoring, logging, and alerting for Kubernetes clusters
• Understanding of Kubernetes security best practices, like RBAC, network, and pod security policies
  
  
  

• Computer Sc. engineering graduate with 3+ years of relevant work experience in AWS, DevOps & team management
• Extremely knowledgeable on Linux, Shell Scripting, AWS core services (VPC, EC2 S3 IAM, RDS), Amazon EKS/Kubernetes, GIT, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana
• Strong operating system fundamentals with a focus on performance optimization & reliability of the system
• Has exposure to networking concepts (SSH, FTP, TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing, CDN etc. )
• Good to have experience working with distributed systems & databases (SQL, NoSQL, Cache), stream-processing (Kafka), message-queuing (RabbitMQ) & search & analytics platform (ELK)
• Hands on experience building microservices architecture, applying design patterns and developing frameworks
• Able to develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external customers
• Consistent track record for solution delivery, quality improvements, champion for agile scrum adoption
• Have a strong focus on business outcomes
• Comfortable with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders
• Self-motivated and can get things done
• Have a strong knowledge of threading, concurrency, scaling, and high availability
• Have a desire to build products that users love
• Stay current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education
