Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with hands-on experience in deploying infrastructure using AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit). The ideal candidate will be responsible for automating cloud infrastructure, configuring security controls such as AWS WAF (Web Application Firewall), and managing Cloudflare edge configurations. A strong understanding of AWS services, infrastructure as code (IaC), and security best practices is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy infrastructure using AWS CDK (TypeScript/Python preferred).
* Implement and maintain AWS WAF rules and security policies to protect APIs and web apps.
* Integrate and configure Cloudflare services, including DDoS protection, caching, custom rules, and DNS.
* Automate CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments using tools like CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
* Monitor system health and optimise performance, reliability, and cost efficiency across AWS environments.
* Collaborate with development and security teams to ensure infrastructure complies with security best practices and compliance requirements.
* Troubleshoot network/security/infrastructure issues and respond to incidents promptly.
Required Skills and Experience:
* 6–8 years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering.
* Proficiency with AWS CDK and strong understanding of AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Route53, etc.).
* Experience configuring AWS WAF, security groups, and Shield Advanced.
* Hands-on knowledge of Cloudflare (Page Rules, Firewall Rules, Workers, etc.).
* Solid understanding of DevSecOps, IAM policies, encryption, and threat mitigation.
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure monitoring (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog), and logging.
* Scripting proficiency (Python, Bash, or similar).
* Experience with source control (Git), containerization (Docker), and infrastructure automation.
Preferred Qualifications:
* AWS Certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, Security Speciality).
* Experience with Terraform, Helm, or Kubernetes.
* Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and secure coding/infrastructure principles.
