Role details:
- Title / Designation: Senior DevOps Engineer
- Location: Bengaluru, India
- Reporting Manager: Head of Devops
Role & responsibilities:
• Design, build, and manage scalable CI/CD pipelines across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.
• Deploy, manage, and optimize containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and observability systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
• Embed DevSecOps by enforcing security best practices, performing risk assessments, and remediating vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure governance, compliance, and secure infrastructure operations.
• Automate provisioning, scaling, and routine operational tasks using modern DevOps tooling.
• Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and ongoing system audits including patch management.
Candidate requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with on-premises infrastructure and major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.
• Practical experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, or CircleCI.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Strong knowledge of security principles including zero trust, IAM, encryption, auditing, and compliance frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC 2, and HIPAA.
• Relevant certifications (AWS DevOps Engineer, CKA, CISSP) are an added advantage.
Nice to Have:
• Experience with hybrid workload orchestration tools such as Anthos or Azure Arc.
• Understanding of observability standards and tools like OpenTelemetry.
• Familiarity with policy-as-code solutions such as OPA/Gatekeeper or HashiCorp Sentinel.
