Senior DevOps Engineer

Role: Senior DevOps Engineer

Experience: 5+ years

Location: Hyderabad / Coimbatore / Gurgaon

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and evolve Terraform modules across core infrastructure services.
• Enhance GitHub Actions and GitLab CI pipelines with policy-as-code integrations.
• Automate Kubernetes secret management; transition from shared init containers to native mechanisms.
• Review, deploy, and manage Helm charts for service releases; own rollback reliability.
• Track and resolve environment drift; automate consistency checks across staging/production.
• Drive incident response tooling using Datadog and PagerDuty; actively participate in post-incident reviews.
• Assist with cost-optimization initiatives through ongoing resource sizing reviews.
• Implement and monitor SLA/SLO targets for critical services to ensure operational excellence.

Must-Have:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering roles.
• Deep expertise in Terraform, Terraform Cloud, and modular infrastructure design.
• Production experience managing Kubernetes clusters, preferably on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD automation using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and Helm.
• Experience securing cloud-native environments using Google Secret Manager or HashiCorp Vault.
• Hands-on expertise in observability tooling (especially Datadog).
• Solid grasp of GCP networking, container workload security, and service configurations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead infrastructure initiatives and work cross-functionally on roadmap delivery.
  

Desirable:

• Experience with GitOps and automated infrastructure policy enforcement.
• Familiarity with service mesh, workload identity, and multi-cluster deployments.
• Background in building DevOps functions or maturing legacy cloud/on-prem environments.
  

Tools & Expectations:

IaC - Terraform / Terraform Cloud – Maintain reusable infra components, handle drift/versioning across workspaces.

CI/CD - GitHub / GitLab / GitHub Actions – Build secure pipelines, create reusable workflows, integrate scanning tools.

App Packaging - Helm – Manage structured app packaging, configure upgrades and rollback strategies.

Kubernetes - GKE – Operate core workloads, enforce RBAC, quotas, monitor pod lifecycles.

Secrets - Google Secret Manager / Kubernetes Secrets – Automate sync, monitor access, enforce namespace boundaries.

Observability - Datadog / PagerDuty – Implement alerting, support incident response and escalation mapping.

Ingress & DNS - Cloudflare / DNS / WAF – Manage exposure policies and ingress routing via IaC.

Security & Quality - Snyk / SonarQube / Wiz – Define thresholds, enforce secure and high quality deployments.
