We are looking for an experienced SoC BSW Engineer – OS & Hypervisor, Cybersecurity to join a project with a major OEM. In this role, you will lead the secure design, development, and integration of operating system and hypervisor components for next-generation automotive SoC platforms. The focus is on combining deep OS and virtualization expertise with strong cybersecurity compliance, enabling safe and high-performance execution across multicore domains. You will be part of the Base Software (BSW) Engineering team, working on platforms that power Autonomous Driving, Infotainment, and Connected Vehicle Systems, while ensuring alignment with ISO/SAE 21434 and UNECE WP.29 requirements

Responsibilities
- Design and integrate OS and hypervisor platforms (QNX, QNX Hypervisor, Linux, Android GVM) for automotive SoCs
- Architect and implement cybersecurity features at OS and virtualization layers (secure boot, isolation, access control, memory protection)
- Collaborate with platform security teams to define and implement threat mitigations and secure lifecycle practices
- Develop and configure drivers (UART, SPI, PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, LVDS)
- Contribute to BSP integration, system bring-up, and OS/Hypervisor initialization on new SoC platforms
- Debug and troubleshoot system-level issues with tools such as JTAG, logic analyzers, and trace probes
- Write and maintain automation scripts (Python, Shell, CLI tools) for diagnostics, configuration, and security validation
- Ensure compliance with ISO/SAE 21434, ISO 26262, and ASPICE standards
- Support CI/CD pipelines, automated test environments, and Agile/Scrum-based workflows
- Provide technical mentorship and architecture reviews for secure system software design
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in embedded software development, including OS/hypervisor integration and security architecture
- Proficiency in C/C++ with secure coding practices and static analysis
- Deep expertise in OS/hypervisor platforms (QNX, Linux, or Android GVM) and virtualization technologies
- Hands-on experience with secure boot, access control, MMU/MPU configuration, and cryptographic libraries
- Proven track record in BSP development, device drivers, and SoC bring-up
Preferred
- Master’s degree in relevant field
- Experience with security threat modeling, penetration testing, and risk assessment
- Familiarity with hardware security (TPM, TrustZone, HSM) and secure firmware
- Knowledge of ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE WP.29, and automotive cybersecurity regulations
- Experience with ASIL-B/D safety-rated systems
- Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, Shell)
- Exposure to vehicle networks (CAN, Ethernet, LIN) and related security protocols
