Are you ready to shape the future of EG? We’re looking for a visionary FinOps Lead with 5+ years of experience to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team in Mangalore.

In this pivotal role, you’ll participate in an initiative that will create financial transparency on our portfolio of more than 100 products, and be part of a groundbreaking journey that will redefine our company’s performance management setup on our company’s technological landscape and product portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Support the transformation of EG’s performance management setup, by pushing the performance management agenda and strive to establish a best-in-class financial analytics setup, that includes a continuous focus on identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee the financial performance of our Software and Infrastructures (like clouds, hosting systems, ERP suites etc.) ensuring optimized cost management and reporting.
• Develop and manage budgets for product infrastructure, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Ensure proper tagging and cost allocation for different business units and products while providing financial visibility.
• Act as a liaison between finance, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure smooth communication and alignment on cloud financial strategies.
• Support VP of Financial Planning & Analysis and management with strategic analysis and problem solving.
• Collaborate with the finance team on joint presentations, business reviews and analysis.
• Generate financial reports and dashboards to provide insights into cloud spend and usage patterns.
• Work closely with engineering, DevOps, finance and procurement teams to ensure a seamless integration of financial operations in the cloud environment.
• Educate internal teams on cloud cost efficiency and financial accountability through workshops and training.
• Communicate financial metrics and insights to leadership, providing clarity on cloud spend, trends, and potential risks.
• Establish a culture of transparency and accountability for cloud usage and costs across the organization.
• Stay ahead of industry trends in cloud economics and provide recommendations for cost-effective technology investments.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities (e.g., right-sizing, reserved instances, auto-scaling) and promote actionable steps to reduce waste.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years experience in financial operations, cost management and IT projects.
• Strong understanding of IT Infrastructure and platforms, pricing models, financial and cost management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Practical knowledge of reporting tools, e.g. PowerBI and Excel
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts in simple terms to various stakeholders
