Senior Full Stack Developer (Node.js & PHP)

Job Summary

WEBSTEP Technologies is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Full Stack Developer (Node.js & PHP) to join our growing development team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in both modern JavaScript-based backend development and PHP frameworks, with the ability to independently handle projects from requirement analysis to deployment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

We are looking for self-driven professionals with a problem-solving mind set, strong technical capabilities, and a commitment to delivering scalable, high-performance web applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and RESTful APIs using Node.js and PHP.
• Develop and optimize backend portals, services, and database structures.
• Integrate front-end components with server-side logic and data storage solutions.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, front-end developers, QA teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot application issues, debug code, and implement effective resolutions.
• Optimize website and application performance, scalability, and security.
• Develop and integrate third-party APIs, services, and libraries.
• Conduct code reviews, testing, and deployment activities to ensure quality deliverables.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of hands-on experience in web application development.
• Proven experience in developing scalable and high-performance web applications.

Technical Skills

Backend Development

• Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript.
• Experience with at least one Node.js framework such as Express.js, NestJS, or similar.
• Strong expertise in PHP development.
• Hands-on experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel and/or CodeIgniter.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.

Database & APIs

• Experience with MySQL and database optimization techniques.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and services.

Front-End Technologies

• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, and jQuery.
• Experience in responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.

Preferred Qualities

• Ability to manage complete development cycles with minimal supervision.
• Strong ownership mind set and commitment to project delivery.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing business requirements.
• Positive attitude, team-oriented approach, and excellent time-management skills.
