Our Data Services team consists of collaborative, inclusive, and creative individuals. We develop data services with high reliability and massive scale on top of Akamai Platform.
Partner with the best
You will work at the heart of building data systems that are critical for Akamai Control Center. You will join a talented, cross-functional scrum team of engineers. The team owns design, development, deployment, and maintenance of high-volume, high-velocity data pipelines powering Akamai's reports.
As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for:
- Developing highly scalable and reliable managed data services and collaborating with others in the team.
- Building and maintaining CI/CD environments.
- Contributing to all stages of the software development lifecycle
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
- Have hands-on experience of developing software using object-oriented languages with test driven development practices
- Have the technical width to design, develop and deploy services in an enterprise environment.
- Have the ability to clearly communicate and participate in technical discussions with stakeholders
- Have knowledge of Web technologies, distributed systems and protocols; Big Data experience is a value add
- Have experience of working with Cloud services such as Azure, AWS, GCP
