Overview
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced IT and Tools Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and support of our company's IT infrastructure and a wide range of software development and business tools. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficiency, security, and reliability of our systems, enabling our teams to work seamlessly and productively.
Key Responsibilities:
- System and Network Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and network equipment.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with security policies.
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans.
- Ensure the security of the network by implementing and managing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security measures.
- Tools Administration:
- Administer and support a variety of development and collaboration tools, which may include but are not limited to:
- Version Control Systems: Git (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)
- CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI
- Project Management & Issue Tracking: Jira, Confluence, Trello
- Communication & Collaboration: Slack, Microsoft Teams
- Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform
- Manage user access, configure workflows, and customize tools to meet the needs of different teams.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new tools and technologies to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Provide training and support to employees on the effective use of administered tools.
- IT Support:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for internal IT support requests.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for end-users in a timely manner.
- Onboard new employees by provisioning hardware, software, and necessary access.
- Maintain an inventory of all hardware and software assets.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Create and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for all IT systems, processes, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant IT policies and data protection regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience:
- Proven experience as an IT Administrator, System Administrator, or a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with a variety of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
- Demonstrable experience in administering a range of the tools mentioned in the responsibilities section.
- Experience with network management and security protocols.
- Familiarity with cloud computing environments is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
- Knowledge of database management is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive and customer-focused approach to support.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
